Tom Cady joins the CentralReach leadership team to run and scale RCM operations and support its growth amid a surge in demand for its services among the CentralReach customer base.

Fort Lauderdale, FL – CentralReach, the leading provider of Autism and IDD Care Software, today announced the appointment of Tom Cady as the Vice President of Operations for CR BillMax, the company’s managed billing services business. His addition comes at an important time for CentralReach as the demand for CR BillMax services, which includes management of billing entries, generation of claims, claim denial exception management, secondary and tertiary billing, payment posting, and more, has surged to an all-time high as autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) care providers look to improve their top and bottom line with CR BillMax’s proven team and industry-leading collections rates.

Bringing over twenty years of experience in revenue cycle management leadership roles including at Kareo, a Tebra Company, athenahealth, and CareCloud, Cady will be responsible for scaling CR BillMax’s operations and team to support the influx in customers the company has and expects to see into 2024 and beyond.

“We’re very excited to have Tom step into this new role,” said CentralReach CEO Chris Sullens. “He has a proven track record of optimizing existing operations, removing inefficiencies, and powering growth for his customers and I’m looking forward to seeing his positive impact on an already thriving service we offer. Given that our CR BillMax customer base has grown 7x since 2020 and is estimated to bill nearly $400 million before year-end, it was the right time to bring in a seasoned operating executive to scale the operation to support the growth we anticipate in the coming years.”

Prior to joining CentralReach, Tom was the General Manager of Kareo’s RCM services business unit where he drove substantial improvements to their RCM business including improving EBITDA by triple digits, improving customer NPS score by 23 points, and reducing customer churn by 58%. Before Kareo, Tom served as Vice President of Professional Services at CareCloud, a leading healthcare technology company across medical disciplines, where he doubled quarterly revenue for the company in just 9 months. He also served as Vice President, Professional Services at athenahealth, a leading software provider for medical practices and hospitals, where he shaped the strategy and operations that resulted in a 500% growth in revenue during his tenure.

“When I spoke to Chris Plante and Chris Sullens, I knew instantly it was the right decision to join CentralReach,” said Cady. “CentralReach has been on a fantastic growth trajectory as it continues to meet the needs of autism and IDD care providers delivering services in homes, clinics, and schools.  I’m honored to bring my skills and expertise to the CentralReach customer base to help them achieve their goals and optimize the value of their businesses ”
