Dr. Joanne Hill Powell, BCBA-D is the Sr. Director of Education Strategy & Market Development. Before joining CentralReach, Dr. Powell co-founded LiftEd and served as the Chief Data Scientist & Director of Partnerships. At LiftEd, she worked alongside special education professionals, engineers, and UX designers to develop an innovative software solution that supports progress monitoring for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

 

Dr. Powell is a certified teacher and board-certified behavior analyst. She holds a Doctorate in Special Education & Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Columbia University, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College; and an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She has experience as a teacher and consultant in public schools and director in higher education. She previously founded an inclusive early learning center. She is committed to identifying and disseminating best practices in special education.

 

Outside of her passion for the field, she enjoys dance parties with her three children, travel and is always in search of the perfect cupcake!
