Matawan, New Jersey – August 28, 2019 – CentralReach, a leading provider of electronic health record (EHR) and practice management solutions that enable more than 75,000 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinicians and educators to produce superior outcomes for people with autism and other behavioral disorders, today announced the addition of Perry Pappas as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal & Compliance Officer to the CentralReach leadership team.
Pappas brings more than 25 years of experience to CentralReach and will spearhead and oversee all corporate compliance and legal efforts to support the company’s rapidly growing operations. These efforts include mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, securities, commercial contracts, licensing, technology transactions, corporate governance and more.
“I am very excited to welcome Perry to the leadership team and the CentralReach family,” said CentralReach CEO, Chris Sullens. “As our organization and the ABA industry at large enters its next phase of growth, we are committed to helping our clients shape and conform to the changing compliance landscape. Bringing in someone of Perry’s caliber and experience demonstrates the level of investment we are making to fulfill this commitment. Additionally, his vast experience in M&A will enable him to play a critical role in the expansion of our market share through strategic acquisitions.”
Prior to joining CentralReach, Perry was SVP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of WorkWave. Before WorkWave, Perry was a partner in the law firms of Morrison Cohen LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He also holds both a BS and an MS from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan. Perry is listed in Chambers USA as a recognized practitioner in corporate M&A, and has broad experience in contracts, commercial law, intellectual property, privacy, GDPR and other compliance matters.
The announcement comes at a time when strategic acquisitions and compliance play an important role in the evolution of the company. Most recently, CentralReach acquired former competitor Pathfinder Health Innovations — the third acquisition in the past 12 months — to cater to the unique goals and workflows of small to medium-sized practices. In 2018, the company acquired the highly-successful managed billing services company Bronco Billing, now named CR BillMax Services, and real-time behavior change analytics software provider, Chartlytics – both of which contributed to CentralReach’s expanding and robust product portfolio.
