Nissa Van Etten, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA is the Director, Clinical Training and CR Institute at CentralReach. Nissa joins the CentralReach team with over 20 years of experience working with individuals with autism in a variety of settings. She has held the BCBA credential for 13 years and is passionate about clinician training, compassionate care, and cultural humility in behavior analytic practice. Nissa has held a variety of clinical roles working in clinic-based and educational settings. She is currently completing her dissertation on training compassionate care skills to behavior analysts and is looking forward to enjoying more free time once her doctoral program is complete. Nissa resides in Austin, Texas with her three children, three dogs, and husband. In her spare time she enjoys competitive CrossFit, playing tennis, and is learning to love running.
