Joseph Adu
Joseph Adu is the Chief Information Security Officer at CentralReach, the leading provider of end-to-end software and services for autism and IDD care. In this role, he oversees the company’s information security and information technology programs, guiding strategic investments, vendor selection, and resource allocation to ensure security initiatives directly support business outcomes. Adu also partners closely with Legal to strengthen CentralReach’s compliance posture across HIPAA, SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, FERPA, and PCI requirements.
Adu provides governance for the responsible use of artificial intelligence and machine learning across CentralReach’s product portfolio and internal analytics, ensuring all AI-enabled innovations align with principles of safety, transparency, and privacy. He oversees business continuity and disaster recovery planning with measurable recovery objectives, and ensures that material incidents are communicated clearly and promptly to company leadership, customers, and Roper Technologies. He also collaborates with Customer Success and Sales to streamline customer security reviews and surface CentralReach’s security program through a modern, self-service trust center.
Adu joined CentralReach through the acquisition of SpectrumAi, a groundbreaking platform advancing data-driven autism care, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. His leadership was instrumental in building a secure, scalable SaaS platform and laying the foundation for machine learning solutions that improve clinical data collection and behavioral health analytics.
Prior to SpectrumAi, Adu served as Chief Information Security Officer at PathAI, a Boston-based digital pathology company applying AI to better understand diseases such as cancer. There, he established and operated an ISO 27001-certified Information Security Management System (ISMS) and helped the company achieve key FDA and enterprise compliance milestones.
With more than 15 years of experience leading technology and cybersecurity functions across healthcare, education, and technology sectors, Adu brings a proven track record of scaling organizations through high-growth and highly regulated environments. He holds an A.B. in Psychology from Bowdoin College, where he serves on the Board of Trustees. Originally from Ghana, Adu lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
