Beyond Autism Services, a BHCOE-accredited multidisciplinary organization, is devoted to delivering the highest quality ABA, speech, and occupational therapies. For the team behind this mission, one thing became clear—clinical excellence depended on a financially sound foundation.

“Any good ABA company can be measured on two sides—clinical success, which is our wonderful clinicians, and the company’s financial stability,”

As this dedicated team grew, they knew that scaling their clinical impact depended on full visibility into their financial health. Real-time insights were necessary to empower data-informed decisions that support long-term sustainability and ultimately, better outcomes.

The Challenge: Scaling Sustainably

As they grew, Beyond Autism quickly realized that their current workflows were not sustainable. Relying on spreadsheets and other disconnected systems left them without access to real-time financial data. A lack of visibility impacted their ability to accurately forecast finances, develop budgets, and make time-sensitive decisions. Manual processes also increase the risk of error, which could be costly.

“We all like running spreadsheets, but it’s not sustainable as you grow,” explains Gosia.

A more integrated, transparent approach to financial management was necessary for strategic growth without sacrificing high standards of care.

The Solution: CR Insights for Real-Time Visibility

To gain financial clarity, Beyond Autism Services leaned on CR Insights’ Advanced Business Intelligence (ABI) dashboards. CR Insights provided their team with real-time visibility into their financial health.

Beyond Autism Services uses several ABI dashboards to monitor key performance metrics related to financial health, including:

Tracks AR days and outstanding receivables to prioritize collections, identify trends, and ensure healthy cash flow.

This collection of dashboards has equipped the team at Beyond Autism Services with a deeper understanding of their revenue cycle performance. They use these tools to identify critical information to inform short-term decisions, such as which claims to prioritize, as well as long-term analyses and decision-making, such as identifying which payors have high denial rates, which locations may need additional support, and where to focus efforts to improve collection efficiency. Gosia added that they even use the Financial Pulse Check dashboard as supporting data in their rate negotiations with payors.

Optimizing the Revenue Cycle with Clean Claims and A/R Insights

For Beyond Autism Services, optimizing the revenue cycle isn’t just about increasing their bottom line—it’s about allowing them to continue delivering services that meet their quality standards. With high collection rates and consistent clean claims, the team can elevate clinical care to promote more positive outcomes. “Collections rates, let’s face it—most important,” Gosia explained. “If we don’t get paid, we can’t provide services. We can’t run the business.”

Using CR Insights, they gained powerful visibility into aging accounts receivable and collection rate trends to support budget forecasting and identify barriers to financial health.

As Gosia highlighted, “You have instant feedback as far as what your collection rates are, and it helps you identify areas of concern. Knowing your collection rate trends is very handy in your cash flow projections and building your budget.”

Getting Ahead of Denials

Denial management is a key aspect of RCM for ABA and multidisciplinary care organizations, especially as payors become more stringent in their claims review process. Without an understanding of what’s causing payor denials, providers can’t make changes to reduce them. Gosia explained, “The key to success here is identifying what triggers the denials and getting ahead of it and monitoring if strategies we put in place are working [to prevent denials].”

With ABI dashboards, Beyond Autism Services is able to better identify, track, and monitor the reasons for denials. These insights have allowed them to develop and implement corrective strategies that directly address the root causes of denials to improve clean claims.

The Power of Financial Visibility

Gaining real-time visibility into their financial health has been transformative for Beyond Autism Services. With CR Insights, they’ve shifted from siloed systems and delayed financial tracking to integrated, real-time monitoring. This has been incredibly powerful in allowing them to act quickly and strategically across every aspect of financial management.

Financial clarity has become the foundation of Beyond Autism Services’ long-term sustainability. With a strong grasp on their revenue cycle, they can grow without compromising quality of care, allowing them to stay focused on delivering exceptional clinical outcomes for the clients they serve.
